In 1984, Jack Dougherty founded Benz Hydraulics. He saw that there was tremendous need for hydraulic sales and service and an even larger void for providers to fill those needs. Over the years, various Dougherty family members have held key positions in the business. In 2000, Jack’s son Timothy became President of the company and began an aggressive push to increase market share and provide a broader span of complimentary products to our customers. As business has grown, so have our locations, beginning in a small building in New Castle and moving to two larger locations over the years. In 2003 Benz added the convenience of a ParkerStore to our offerings. In 2006, in effort to accommodate the rapidly expanding repair business, ground was broken on a state of the art repair facility. Today, Benz Hydraulics shares that facility with our repair shop, both shops together have proven to be an added convenience for our customers.
